Owner Belinda Goyarts wanted to create a facility where she would be happy to leave her own dogs. Her main aim was to achieve an environment where guests were busy and occupied all day, cool in summer and warm in winter with comfortable clean beds at night. She also had concerns that guests did not get bored at any time, or homesick - so introduced the concept of each guest having a compatible best friend during their stay at the Lodge.
Each guest (and their friend) have two huge exercise programs each day, as well as being brushed and health checked by a member of staff every single day. This eliminates any 'surprises' at going home time - as staff check inside ears, between toes, through the coat, teeth etc carefully and record any findings on Daily Guest Report Sheets.
Mornington Lodge also offers a pick up and delivery service in an airconditioned van, every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Easter and Christmas are generally full at the beginning of each year, so please book as soon as you even think of your next holiday :)
